Administrative Services Coordinator
Education Requirement
- A relevant Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license is required, as is continued compliance with the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards (University of Iowa Operations Manual Part V, Chapter 19).
- Experience, typically 6 months to one year, in an administrative capacity, including human resources and finance is required.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors at a working proficiency level is required.
- Working proficiency in computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, and databases is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Working proficiency with University of Iowa ProTrav, Workflow, Employee Self-Service Human Resources Systems, Business & Financial Systems, and General Systems and Tools is desirable.
- Basic proficiency in event planning is desirable.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of policies pertaining to graduate students, graduate assistants, and postdoctoral scholars and fellows is desirable.
- Demonstrated working proficiency in the ability to work with variety of individuals and groups in a constructive manner while appreciating the unique contribution of diverse individuals is desirable.
- Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures, systems, and regulations is desirable.
