50% Imaging Technologist ($5,000 Sign-on Incentive Available!) - Adult Cardiac Cath Lab - UI Heart and Vascular Center
Education Requirement:
- Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Commission Committee in Radiologic Technology Education is required.
Experience Requirements:
- Previous imaging technologist experience (Adult Cardiac Catheterization preferred); or completion of Cardiac and Vascular Interventional Clinical Internship (within the last 12 mos.).
- Demonstrated history of positive and professional interactions with patients, families, professional health care staff, and interdisciplinary team members via written, verbal and in-person communication(s).
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment while functioning in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Required participation in night/weekend/holiday on-call assignment (arrival at UI Hospitals & Clinics within 20-30 minutes required).
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
- Certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required prior to start date.
- Permit to practice by the State of Iowa for all technologists operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment is required prior to start date.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification(s) are required prior to start date.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3 years imaging technologist experience (Adult Cardiac Catheterization).
- Previous EPIC experience.
