90% Flight Paramedic - AC 1 (Iowa City, Iowa)
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Graduation from high school, and
- Current Iowa EMT-PS, National Registered Paramedic, Critical Care Paramedic certification and
- BCLS, ACLS, PALS (or PEPP), and a trauma certification. NRP, TPATC or ATLS is required within 6 months of hire, and
- Minimum 3 years of advanced life support in the field while working as a full-time emergency response paramedic, and
- Demonstrated success in the field of advanced life support.
- Must obtain Certified Flight Paramedic certification within 2 years of hire.
Please confirm you have all required certifications with expiration dates, and confirm 1.5-2 years' experience as a Critical Care Paramedic in your cover letter.
Special Qualifications:
- Iowa Critical Care Endorsement
Desired Qualifications:
- Prefer applicants with three (3) years advanced life support field experience as an emergency response paramedic, or current ER experience with a history of advanced life support field experience.
- Prefer applicants with current paramedic certification by the Iowa Department of Public Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services
- Prefer applicants with the following certifications:
- An advanced trauma certification
- Prefer applicants with an Associate degree in Paramedic
