Position Qualifications:
 
Education Required
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent on the job experience.
     
    Experience Requirements
  • One to three years of experience performing administration tasks in support of individuals, teams or units.   
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of the operation and application of academic standards and curricular policies, and the ability to coordinate and support academic activities to enhance the operation and function of a fellowship training program or similar academic program. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation at a working proficiency level.
  • Demonstrated working proficiency in processing a high volume of information and the ability to develop and follow consistent processes with a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of and ability to use office support tools available on the desktop.
  • Demonstrated ability to use effective communication techniques, relationship building skills, and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner at a working level proficiency.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and the ability to produce documents that are clear, well-presented, uses various techniques to disseminate and gather information, and is able to adapt writing to different audiences.     
     
    Desirable Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to apply University policies and procedures at a working level proficiency.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough reports, including financial reports.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Graduate Medical Education.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.   
  • Ability to apply organization’s performance management systems, practice and tools to developing and improving individual, team and organization performance.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
