POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically 3-5 years working in a role representing an organization to potential customers and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated extensive interpersonal skills to develop and enhance professional relationships with alumni, faculty, corporations/organizations, government entities, colleagues and potential partners throughout the business community and various University schools and departments.
  • Extensive oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate effectively at executive-levels
  • Proven sales, business development, recruiting (or equivalent) skills
  • Working knowledge of planning and managing budgets
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety driving requirements.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience managing an organization or unit with multiple constituents and a global perspective
  • Experience working in an accredited MBA program
  • Experience in executive-level recruiting
  • Experience in multiple areas of business
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, particularly Salesforce
  • Familiarity with the business community in the greater Des Moines area
