Education Requirement

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

 

Experience Required

  • Related experience (typically one to three years) in administrative support, accounting, supervisory, and program management including: preparing grant applications; developing and monitoring budgets and grants; serving as a liaison; and higher education program management is required.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors at a working proficiency level is required.
  • Working proficiency in the use of computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases is required.
  • Demonstrated working proficiency in multitasking, problem-solving, and working as part of a team as well as working independently and resourcefully is required. 
  • A valid Driver’s License and the ability to occasionally travel is required.

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Working proficiency with web design best practices and methodologies is desirable. Proficiency with web/graphic design software such as Photoshop is highly desirable, as is experience with version control using GitHub.
  • Extensive proficiency with organizational and project management skills is desirable.
  • Knowledge of NIH policies, procedures and regulations is desirable.
  • A Master’s degree and/or professional experience in the LIS fields is desired.

 

Highly Desirable Qualifications

  • Working proficiency and experience with graduate student program recruitment, admission, enrollment, orientation, and liaison is highly desired.
