POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Typically 6 months - 1 year related accounting or administrative experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications: Excel, Word and Access Database,
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written with a population of varying perspectives.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use resources with limited guidance.
- Team player, able to work effectively with others required.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial processes & procedures (General ledger, grant accounting) at the University of Iowa.
- 5 or more years accounting experience/ grant accounting.
- Excel & Access Database proficiency with advanced features.
