Education Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experienced Required
  • 1-3 years of experience providing administrative operations support to a program/operation
  • Demonstrated competency and experience using Microsoft Office software, including Access, Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills that include experience working in a position that required managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines.
  • Knowledge of fiscal management.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including experience or capacity to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and lead work groups and teams.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience similar to writing technical documents, reports, newsletters, and developing content for marketing/public relations materials and web pages.
  • Ability to travel, work a flexible schedule when required and hold a valid driver’s license, plus the ability to meet the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards (University of Iowa Operations Manual Part V, Chapter 19).
Desirable Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field and/or Master’s degree is desired.
  • 6 months - 1 year experience in public speaking and technical writing.
  • Experience collecting and managing data.
  • Experience implementing and managing process improvement initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases.
  • Conference planning experience.
  • Knowledge of UI and UIHC policies, procedures and regulations
