Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically six months to one year of experience in performing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently in a professional office environment.
      Must show demonstrated experience with the following:
  • Working in a constructive and collaborative manner within a diverse environment, including across varied cultures, race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and veteran status.
  • Establishing and building healthy and collaborative working relationships and partnerships with colleagues within and external to own unit.
  • Experience supervising and developing professional staff.
  • Crafting, editing and proofreading various forms of correspondence and communication, ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Responding quickly to changing priorities and emerging situations while maintaining professionalism and approachability.
  • Prioritizing and balancing a substantial workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Managing multiple short-term and long-term deadlines.
  • Working in a setting requiring a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Exercising good judgment at all times including situations in which there are no clearly-defined expectations.
  • Utilizing a variety of office support tools available on the desktop, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Experience supporting events.
