EDUCATION REQUIRED

A Bachelor's degree in a Business or Liberal Arts & Sciences discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to compose and format communications and other documents in a concise, grammatically accurate, logical, and organized manner.

Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Possession of strong organizational skills, ability to proactively establish priorities, and successful experience in a highly responsive, deadline-oriented environment.

Minimum of 6 months related executive-level administrative experience in an office setting.

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Work samples will be requested prior to selection and hire.

Able to troubleshoot day-to-day challenges independently. Must be able to quickly master new tasks and adapt to a new environment.

Ability to work within strict deadlines and be highly responsive to the needs of the office. 

Must have valid driver license and ability to meet UI Risk Management driving requirements.

Ability to physically escort individuals, such as VIPs and candidates, to various locations on and off campus.

Occasionally requires attendance at meetings, functions or events outside of normal working hours.

Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs.

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Two or more years of demonstrated experience working with confidential projects using discretion and independent judgment is highly desirable.

Some knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations.
