Administrative Services Specialist
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrates experience (typically 6 months-1 year) and a working level of ability to carry out ongoing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently in support of individuals, teams, and/or units, including proficiency with computer software applications
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple complex events/programs simultaneously to successful conclusion
- Demonstrated ability to develop and strengthen working relationships with diverse populations, including internal and external constituents, through positive interaction and collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member to accomplish goals
- Valid drivers’ license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety policy
- Ability to move and position up to 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures, including financial and human resources policies; and experience with University electronic systems including HRIS, MAUI and Workflow processes
- Experience working in an academic department
- Experience creating or improving office operations
