POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications 

  • Demonstrates experience (typically 6 months-1 year) and a working level of ability to carry out ongoing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently in support of individuals, teams, and/or units, including proficiency with computer software applications
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple complex events/programs simultaneously to successful conclusion
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and strengthen working relationships with diverse populations, including internal and external constituents, through positive interaction and collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member to accomplish goals
  • Valid drivers’ license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety policy
  • Ability to move and position up to 20 pounds
     

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures, including financial and human resources policies; and experience with University electronic systems including HRIS, MAUI and Workflow processes
  • Experience working in an academic department
  • Experience creating or improving office operations
