Education Required  

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 



Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in music admissions or comparable experience. Comparable experience may include academic advising, career services advising, or work specifically targeting first-year students. 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.   
  • Must be able to travel domestically and have a valid driver’s license. 
  • Ability to work nights and weekends. 
  • Extensive knowledge and application of oral and written communication and relationship building skills. 
  • Must demonstrate careful attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks or projects quickly and effectively. 



Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in or experience in music. 
  • Familiarity with financial aid policies and practices. 
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures, and regulations. 
  • Experience supervising support staff or student employees.
