Required Qualifications

  • A Master's degree is required. A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.  If Master's degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required.
  • Current certification as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and licensure as ARNP in State of Iowa is required.
  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in the clinical care of pediatric and/or adult patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with indirect supervision and critical thinking/problem solving skills.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within a specified timeframe from the date of hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in adult congenital heart disease.
  • Knowledge and experience in clinical care of cardiology patients.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
