Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry - Interventional Psychiatry
Qualifications
Education
A Master's degree is required. A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred. If Master's degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required.
Certifications and Licensure
Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required.
Current certification in specialty area (PMHNP preferred) and licensed as an ARNP in state of Iowa is required by start date.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated clinical experience in Psychiatry is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence while actively collaborating with health care members providing care for highly complex patients.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working in a mental health clinic and/or in an emergency room with patients with psychiatric concerns.
Experience with interventional psychiatry treatments (ECT, TMS, esketamine/ketamine) and patient populations (treatment-refractory depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, catatonia, and OCD).
Experience with multi-disciplinary process improvement.
Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures.
Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain flexibility within a changing clinical environment.
