AirCare (AC) Assistant Manager-NEW AC 4 Base! (Paramedic Credentials: Utilize this posting if you have Paramedic Credentials & Experience)
Required Education:
- Baccalaureate Degree in related field is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Current ACLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC or Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC)
- Certified Flight Paramedic (CFP) within 2 years or hire.
- Certification in a role or specialty through a nationally recognized professional nursing certification body. If not currently certified must seek certification in a role or specialty within (one) 1 year of hire or as soon as eligible to sit for the exam.
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by start date. Illinois nursing license required within six months of hire.
Required Experience:
- One (1) to three (3) years current experience with air medical transport. Previous experience in a leadership/supervisory position preferred.
- 3 years CCP Critical Care experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit
- Demonstrated skill in leadership/management and experience in clinical practice.
- Demonstrated history of positive and professional interactions with patients, families, professional health care staff, and interdisciplinary team members via written, verbal and in-person communication(s).
- Demonstrates excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong clinical assessment/skills
- As needed ability to work outside of standard business hours to ensure all clinical and/or operational needs can be met.
Desired Experience:
- Master’s Degree (MS, MBA, MHA).
- Member/involvement in related professional organizations.
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years Flight Paramedic experience in an Air Transport Program and/or Emergency Department within the last 6 months.
- Previous experience serving in a Manager, Supervisor and/or Assistant Manager role.
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience
- Job-related certification.
