AirCare (AC) Assistant Manager-NEW AC4 Base! (Nursing Credentials: Utilize this posting if you have Nursing Credentials & Experience)

Required Education:

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required. Master’s Degree (MSN, MBA, MHA) preferred.

Required Experience:

• One (1) to three (3) years current experience with air medical transport.  Previous experience in a nursing leadership/supervisory position preferred.
• 3 years RN Critical Care experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit 
• Demonstrated skill in leadership/management and experience in clinical practice.
• Demonstrated history of positive and professional interactions with patients, families, professional health care staff, and interdisciplinary team members via written, verbal and in-person communication(s).
• Demonstrates excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong clinical assessment/skills
• As needed ability to work outside of standard business hours to ensure all clinical and/or operational needs can be met.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Current ACLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC or Transport Nurse Advanced Trauma Course (TNATC) or Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC)
• Certified Flight Nurse (CFRN), CCCRN or Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) within 2 years or hire.
• Certification in a role or specialty through a nationally recognized professional nursing certification body. If not currently certified must seek certification in a role or specialty within (one) 1 year of hire or as soon as eligible to sit for the exam.
• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by start date. Illinois nursing license required within six months of hire.

Desired Experience:

• Master’s Degree (MSN, MBA, MHA).
• Member/involvement in related professional organizations.
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years Staff RN experience in Emergency Department within the last 6 months.
• Previous experience serving in a Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor and/or Assistant Nurse Manager role.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• Job-related certification.
