Animal Caretaker III
The Office of Animal Resources at the University of Iowa is seeking an Animal Caretaker III. A supervisory position, you will join a team of veterinarians, veterinary technicians and other animal caretakers. Under general supervision, you will be responsible for animals used in research and/or teaching. Also supervises the maintenance and care of facilities and equipment used in animal care. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and/or university regulations regarding the care and use of animals in research and teaching.
Work Schedule: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Sunday-Thursday days off are Friday and Saturday.

About Pay and Compensation:
Pay Grade: GD07
Qualifications:
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
· Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
· Four years experience and/or education in animal care work, with demonstrated ability in the required skills, or
· American Association of Laboratory Animal Science full certification as a Laboratory Animal Technician with a minimum of three years applicable work experience.
Special Qualification/Licenses
· Possession of a valid state or commercial driver's license, and the ability to meet University Fleet Safety Standards.
