Arborist
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Three years’ experience in the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs
- Successful completion of commercial certification tests (30T-Ornamental and Turf) for application of pesticides and be eligible to be certified
- Successful completion of Certified Arborist exam or equivalent training and be eligible for re-certification, as required
Special Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety Standards.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Five years or more of previous experience in the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs
- Ability to read and interpret a landscape design
- Possession of valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes
- Snow removal experience using snowplows and skid loaders
- Good communication skills and experience working on a team
- Basic computer experience
- Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives
