Arborist

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Three years’ experience in the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs
• Successful completion of commercial certification tests (30T-Ornamental and Turf) for application of pesticides and be eligible to be certified
• Successful completion of Certified Arborist exam or equivalent training and be eligible for re-certification, as required 

Special Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety Standards.  

Desirable Qualifications:

• Five years or more of previous experience in the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs
• Ability to read and interpret a landscape design
• Possession of valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes
• Snow removal experience using snowplows and skid loaders
• Good communication skills and experience working on a team
• Basic computer experience
• Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives
