Required Qualifications

 

  • A Master's degree is required. A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred. If Master's degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required.
  • Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required.
  • Certification as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
  • Current or eligibility for ARNP license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in the clinical care of pediatrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with indirect supervision, critical thinking/problem solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment or promoting a diverse environment is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Current or eligibility for Federal DEA license.

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
  • Knowledge and experience in ambulatory care.
