ARNP - Pediatrics Endocrinology
Education Required:
- A Master's degree is required. A Master's degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is preferred. If Master's degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required.
- A current RN license from the State of Iowa is required
- Current certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner (CPNP-AC or CPNP-PC) or family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) and licensure as ARNP in state of Iowa is required.
Experience Requirements
- National certification as PNP, PNP-AC, PNP-PC is required, or FNP-BC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Demonstrated experience in the clinical care of pediatrics and/or experience in diabetes/endocrinology care management.
- Exceptional organizational skills including flexibility, prioritize effectively and complete tasks.
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a group setting.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in the practice of pediatrics is required.
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in endocrinology.
- Knowledge and experience working in an outpatient setting and as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- PALS/ACLS
- Federal DEA license
