Assistant Director, Career Management & Advising
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Considerable (1-3 years) demonstrated experience in:
- Higher education, career services, career advising, training/teaching, or professional development
- Program and event management/planning
- Administrative coordination, reporting, and database management
- Experience in creating and implementing tactical plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically regarding attention to detail and proven sense of urgency when responding to employer, alumni or students interaction.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to interact positively with a diverse population.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety driving requirements.
- Master’s degree in related field.
- Experience career coaching in a highly competitive, placement-focused environment.
- Working understanding of CRM and/or database systems (such as Handshake, Salesforce, BGI).
- Technology experience using: Adobe Suite, Video Conferencing systems (such as Zoom, GoTo Meeting and/or Skype for Business).
- Administrative experience in budgeting and resource allocation.
- Working knowledge of University policies, procedures, and systems.
