Position Qualifications

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting student and/or academic programs 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills, with proven experience establishing and maintaining collaborative, productive, and trusted relationships at all levels of an organization
  • A strong customer service orientation and ability to organize and balance multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer software applications including Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and academic information systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence through diversity, equity and inclusion.

 

Desired

  • Experience recruiting for and/or supporting a graduate program
  • Experience in an engineering and/or research-related organization
  • Experience with interpreting & applying University of Iowa (UI) policies and procedures
