Qualifications:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Behavioral Science, Social Work, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Working experience (typically 3-5 years) in program management and administration, including financial management, performance management, program development, and data management.
  • Working experience (typically 3-5 years) identifying and preparing successful grant applications and ensuring required reporting and compliance.
  • Commitment to and alignment with the values of the Division of Student Life, including a demonstrated commitment to excellence through anti-oppression, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly and effectively to challenges and deadlines.
  • Ability to obtain RVAP Advocate Training within 6 months of hire and complete Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault Certification within 1 year of hire.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Human Services, Behavioral Science, Social Work, or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of and the ability to utilize tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data.
  • Working experience (typically 1-3 years) at a sexual assault or domestic violence center or victim services agency.
  • Previous supervisory experience (typically 1-3 years).
  • Working experience coordinating and scheduling 24-hour services.
  • Ability to speak language(s) in addition to English.
