Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, Institutional Management, Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Administration or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and supervisory experience.
Experience Required:
- Experience (typically 6 months – 1 year) in preparation and distribution of foods.
- Experience (typically 6 months – 1 year) in food service management, including training and supervising staff, and inventory control.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors.
- Demonstrated ability to adjust and prepare for new or changing assignments, processes, people and/or priorities as organizational needs dictate.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups while appreciating the unique contributions of diverse individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and interact with individuals and groups.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and meet or exceed customer service needs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience (typically 1 – 3 years) in personnel supervision.
- Working experience in a large-scale food service operation.
- Experience working with a collective bargaining unit.
