Assistant Manager, Custodial Services
Education Requirement
· High School Diploma
Experience Required
· At least 7 years of leadership experience
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Commitment to customer service excellence and high standards
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to manage priorities and workflow
· Valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety Standards
· Ability to work with a diverse group of staff at all levels of an organization
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous custodial and/or custodial leadership experience
- Experience in a union environment
- Knowledge of applicable University policies, collective bargaining agreements and relevant federal and state regulations.
- Experience within a large and/or complex institutional or corporate campus
- Knowledge of green cleaning methods
- Experience with team cleaning
- Familiarity with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), preferably AiM
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and basic internet/intranet usage.
- Supervisory experience at the University of Iowa
