Assistant Nurse Manager: Adult Acute Care Unit (2JCP) Evening/Nights
Education Required:
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is required
Certifications:
Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire.
Required Qualifications:
1+ years of nursing experience with demonstrated skills in leadership.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with computer software applications (such as Microsoft programs)
Demonstrates time management, organization of workload, delegation, and attention to detail
Collaborates and develops effective interpersonal relationships with nursing staff, medical staff, interdisciplinary teams, and other hospital departments
Demonstrates effective teaching skills for staff and patient education
Demonstrates appreciation for diversity with an understanding of the benefits of a diverse workforce
Desirable Qualifications:
Clinical experience with patients
Knowledge of UIHC policies, procedures and regulations
Experience working in large academic medical center
Experience working in a union environment
- Certification in a role or specialty through a nationally recognized professional nursing certification body. (If not currently certified, must seek certification in a role or specialty as soon as eligible to sit for the exam.)
