Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Department - Downtown Campus
Education Requirements:
- A Baccalaureate Degree in nursing is required.
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain an Iowa license upon hire.
Experience Requirements:
- 1-3 years’ of current Emergency Department experience with demonstrated skills in leadership/management roles.
- Experience with unit operations including human resources, financial management, and compliance with regulatory environment with various federal and state agencies and the Joint Commission
- CEN preferred
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Must be proficient in computer software applications.
- Skills in leadership/management.
- Demonstrates time management, organization of workload, delegation, attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Professional job-related experience fostering or promoting a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment where people of all backgrounds and perspectives feel welcome and appreciated; or demonstrated the ability to do so.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a community-based hospital.
Experience working in a union environment.
