Assistant Nurse Manager - Nights - Labor & Delivery Unit
Required Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire
- Minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience in patient care
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, decision making, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with computer software applications (such as Microsoft programs)
- Demonstrates time management, organization of workload, delegation, attention to detail and thoroughness
- Collaborates and develops effective interpersonal relationships with nursing staff, medical staff, interdisciplinary teams, and other hospital departments
- Demonstrates effective teaching skills for staff and patient education
- Demonstrates job-related experience with fostering a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment and/or otherwise demonstrate their ability to foster a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment for people from all types of backgrounds and viewpoints.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Current experience managing/leading transitions in care
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Knowledge of UI and UIHC policies, procedures, and regulations
- Experience working in a large academic medical center
- Experience working in a union environment
