Assistant Nurse Manager - Orthopedic Inpatient Unit - North Liberty Campus
Education Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain an Iowa license upon hire
Experience Requirements:
- 1+ years of nursing experience with demonstrated skills in leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient in computer software applications
- Demonstrates time management, organization of workload, delegation, attention to detail and thoroughness
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions
- Demonstrates effective teaching skills for staff and patient education
- Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives
- Demonstrated job related experience with and/or commitment to employee engagement in the work/academic environment
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of nursing experience with demonstrated skills in leadership is preferred
- Orthopedic inpatient care experience preferred
- Experience with scheduling and ELMS
- Experience with performance management
- Previous experience working in a large academic medical center
