POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience Required

  • A degree in Studio Art or related field or equivalent combination of related experience and education.
  • Some experience (at least 1 year) working in a museum or archive and with art preparation.
  • Some experience (at least 1 year) working in art preparation or packing.

Competencies Required

  • Demonstrates a WORKING proficiency level in:
    • Communicating for effective relationships including application of techniques and skills that develop the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Program driving requirements.
  • Basic skill in art handling.
  • Basic knowledge of art storage and packing methods, techniques, and procedures.

*This is a specified term P&S position with full benefits. The successful incumbent will be appointed in no longer than one-year increments not to exceed 08/31/2022 unless additional funding is secured.
