Required

  • Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology, or related field.
  • A record of authorship of peer-reviewed original research
  • Basic skills in imaging and programming
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to accurately complete detailed work
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple complex projects or programs with diverse functions.

Desired

  • Ability to work and learn independently and motivated to contribute to the wider research mission in neuroscience
  • Good programming skills (python, R, shell scripts)
  • Experience in working with next-generation sequencing data
  • Well-organized and able to coordinate with a team of faculty members, post-doctoral scholars, graduate students, research assistants, undergraduates, and intra- and extramural collaborators
  • Experience with sterile cell culture
  • Experience dealing with animal or human tissue, including tissue sectioning with a cryostat
  • Experience with next-generation sequencing, Western Blotting, and PCR.
  • Experience with immunohistology, immunofluorescence staining, bright, and Confocal microscopy imaging experience.
