Assistant Research Scientist, Biomedical Engineering
Education Requirement
- Requires a Ph.D. in psychology, biomedical engineering or a biomedical science and at least 1 year of experience in the following below.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in patch-clamp electrophysiology in brain slices
- Expertise in electrophysiology data acquisition and analysis using programs such as Patchmaster and Igor Pro.
- Experience in maintenance and breeding of various animal models, including transgenic mice.
Desired Qualifications
- 3 or more years of postdoctoral training.
- Established track record of scientific productivity (e.g., authorships in peer-reviewed publications).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Expertise in the investigation of synaptic plasticity and neuropharmacology.
- Experience in molecular biological techniques, including DNA and RNA extraction.
- Experience with peer-review of manuscripts and grant writing.
- Experience in data analysis in python.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
