Education Requirement

  • Requires a Ph.D. in psychology, biomedical engineering or a biomedical science and at least 1 year of experience in the following below.

Required Qualifications

  • Expertise in patch-clamp electrophysiology in brain slices
  • Expertise in electrophysiology data acquisition and analysis using programs such as Patchmaster and Igor Pro.
  • Experience in maintenance and breeding of various animal models, including transgenic mice.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of postdoctoral training.
  • Established track record of scientific productivity (e.g., authorships in peer-reviewed publications).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Expertise in the investigation of synaptic plasticity and neuropharmacology.
  • Experience in molecular biological techniques, including DNA and RNA extraction.
  • Experience with peer-review of manuscripts and grant writing.
  • Experience in data analysis in python.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
