Required qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent).
  • CSCCa Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) or NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
  • Working experience as a strength and conditioning coach of collegiate student-athletes in the following areas:
    • designing speed, strength, and conditioning programs in a progressive manner
    • executing the rehabilitative phase of injury recovery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in:
    • performance management, including effectively teaching and supervising small and large groups of student-athletes
    • utilizing basic office support software (word processing, email, spreadsheets)
  • Ability to work constructively and collaboratively with individuals of diverse backgrounds in a highly-regulated team environment
Desired qualifications:
  • Higher education coursework in a related field is preferred.
  • Coaching experience with and working knowledge of
    • NCAA Division I strength and conditioning processes, issues, considerations and solutions for a high profile wrestling program;
    • functional movement screening tools and implementing appropriate corrective exercise.
