Assoc Director, Nursing Svcs - Children's and Women's Services (Neonatal Services)
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field is required. If Master's Degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required.
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain Iowa license upon hire.
- Certification in nursing administration or applicable clinical area from nationally recognized professional certification body
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership position in a large, complex health care organization with demonstrated ability to work with multiple disciplines to ensure effective health care operations.
- Demonstrated experience assuring patient safety, quality of care, and compliance with the Joint Commission and state and federal agencies.
- Experience developing a high performing clinical teams and flexible workforce.
- Demonstrated experience developing budgets, establishing priorities, and negotiating resource issues
- Experience modeling service excellence principles/standards
- Experience developing effective interprofessional partnerships.
- Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to serve as a liaison and to collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, and other customers.
- Progressive leadership experience in nursing services and/or health care administration.
- Neonatal nursing clinical experience.
- Clinical and leadership experience in major children’s hospital.
- Progressive leadership experience in an academic medical center.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Member of national and state professional nursing organization.
