Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in life science, engineering or physical science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years experience and advanced knowledge in health technology innovations, entrepreneurship, technology development.
  • Effective oral and written communication of business concepts.
  • Accomplished analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse teams, including the ability to lead initiatives to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Travel within the state will be required.  Must have a valid US driver's license and be able to meet and maintain the University's Fleet Safety requirements.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Direct experience pitching to raise capital for a startup company.
  • Experience writing, not simply editing, startup business plans or SBIR/STTR grants.
  • Experience serving as inventor on patented technology.
  • Direct experience working in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or health tech startup.
  • Experience licensing or assessing early-stage technology or intellectual property.
