Associate Director of UI Ventures
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in life science, engineering or physical science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years experience and advanced knowledge in health technology innovations, entrepreneurship, technology development.
- Effective oral and written communication of business concepts.
- Accomplished analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated commitment to diversity and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse teams, including the ability to lead initiatives to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Travel within the state will be required. Must have a valid US driver's license and be able to meet and maintain the University's Fleet Safety requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- Direct experience pitching to raise capital for a startup company.
- Experience writing, not simply editing, startup business plans or SBIR/STTR grants.
- Experience serving as inventor on patented technology.
- Direct experience working in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or health tech startup.
- Experience licensing or assessing early-stage technology or intellectual property.
