Associate Director, Residence Education
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education/Administration, Counseling, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years progressive, post-masters experience in a university housing or residential life environment.
- Experience (3 or more years) supervising full time, master’s level housing staff with ability to apply practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
- Exceptional administrative skills, including a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to establish priorities, accomplish goals and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving skills, including experience analyzing and resolving conflict, successfully navigating group dynamics, and effectively building teams.
- Knowledge of crisis management concepts and techniques; ability to predict, avert, mitigate, and recover from an event that has or could have a severely negative impact on the institution. Experience serving in an on-call duty rotation.
- Strong record of building teams and partnerships with colleagues and key campus stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written and oral communication, public speaking and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to developing welcoming communities through dialogues around difference.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience managing and leading full-time staff recruitment.
- Previous experience supervising mid-level staff.
- Experience working with residential curriculum models, academic curriculum development, or other student outcome based curricular planning.
- Experience working with Maxient conduct software.
- Experience working with StarRez housing occupancy software.
