Associate Registrar, Records Systems and Project Management
The University of Iowa Office of the Registrar is seeking to hire a 100% full-time Associate Registrar, Records Systems and Project Management.

As a key member of the Office of the Registrar, you will partner closely with academic and administrative units across campus to streamline processes and deliver high‑impact system solutions. Join the Office of the Registrar and have an opportunity to:
· Maintain systems that support MAUI Student Records processes including but not limited to Universal Workflow, Academic Calendar, MAUI Access and Security, and Dispatch.
· Support Senior Associate to design, develop, and test new system processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project vision, prioritize tasks, and integrate industry best practices.
· Facilitate and conduct user acceptance testing, resolve issues, and communicate quality requirements and regulatory standards to developers.
· Collaborate with campus stakeholders to design and implement solutions using MAUI functionality and integrations.
· Supervise, mentor, and support professional development opportunities for 2-3 staff, ensuring alignment with department and organizational goals.

About the Department: In the Office of the Registrar, our mission is to provide the University faculty, staff, students, and public with accurate academic records that support the institution’s primary focus.
Required Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree or equivalent (Bachelors Degree plus a minimum of additional 2 years of professional experience)
· A minimum of 3 years professional experience in higher education or project management
· Supervisory or team leadership experience
· Experience with project management in an information system
Competencies Required:
· Demonstrates an EXTENSIVE proficiency level in:
o Operation and application of computer-based academic support systems or computer software applications related to a student information system (i.e., MAUI, PeopleSoft, Banner, etc.)
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities
o Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
o Ability to listen effectively, calibrate appropriately, and identify critical paths quickly.
o Strong aptitude for learning new tools and technologies.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Possesses advanced project management education and certifications (e.g. PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Master Certificate in Project Management, PRINCE2, AIPM Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM), Lean, Agile, Six Sigma certification)
· Experience (preferably 2 or more years) working directly with MAUI.
· Demonstrates a WORKING proficiency level in:
o Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures.
o Knowledge of regulations, familiarity with the operations of a registrar’s office.
o Knowledge of FERPA.

Additional Details:
Work Modality: This position is eligible for hybrid or remote work within Iowa with some on-campus requirements, offering schedule flexibility based on position requirements. Modality will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
Compensation: Anticipated Hiring Salary $62,000-$75,000 with Competitive Benefits
