Bariatric Surgery Quality Reviewer
Required Qualifications
- An MSN or master’s degree in an appropriate medical-related clinical discipline with 1-3 years’ recent clinical experience providing care to adult or pediatric patient populations is required

- A BSN or bachelor’s degree in an appropriate medical-related clinical discipline with 3-5 years’ recent clinical experience providing care to adult or pediatric patient populations is required
- Recent experience using an electronic medical record is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of incorporating evidence-based practice techniques in a health care setting is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power Point and Excel is required.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa
- Medical record abstraction or clinical computer information systems experience
- Computer proficiency with databases or software applications
- Formal continuing education in performance improvement techniques, such as DMAIC, TQM, or similar nationally recognized techniques
- Professional certification related to healthcare quality (i.e. CPHQ, ASQ)
- Some (6 months - 1 year of experience) experience in public speaking, technical writing and/or teaching
- Some knowledge of University and Regent policies, procedures, and regulations
