Education Required
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field is required.

 

Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience providing direct care or support services for individuals.
Excellent interpersonal skills to include both verbal and written communications.
Must be proficient in computer software applications and demonstrate an effective ability to communicate with the team and project partners through email.
Experience working with data collection and management processes.
Previous experience of discussing substance use and substance use disorders with clients or the public.
Experience with public speaking in an inclusive, team-oriented environment. 
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a self-directed manner.
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Driver’s license and able to meet UI Fleet Services requirements.

 

Desirable Qualifications
Previous experience working with patients/clients with addiction.
Experience in leading work groups and teams.
Previous experience with giving presentations and interacting with the media.
Previous experience facilitating interagency work groups and/or experience working across programs and systems to make policy change. 
Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations.
Knowledge of behavioral health resources in Eastern Iowa.
