Behavioral Health Coordinator (50%) - CDD

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of the Division Train the Trainer program, with 80% minimum achieved.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, diverse populations and serving as a cultural broker working between medically underserved community groups and U.S. healthcare systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience or capacity to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, and work as a cooperative team member.
• Fluent oral and written communication in Spanish.
• Competence in and experience using Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
• Ability to travel in surrounding geographic area and hold a valid driver’s license, plus the ability to meet the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards (University of Iowa Operations Manual Part V, Chapter (19).

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a parent or primary care giver managing the care of a child or youth with a special health care need.
• Outstanding presentation skills
• Knowledge of adult learning styles and teaching techniques
