Clinic Manager (Pod Operations, Aligned Nursing, & Outreach Site Manager)- Mission Cancer & Blood (Des Moines)

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Nursing, Hospital and Health Administration, or Business Administration required. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must obtain an advanced degree in nursing, health care administration or business administration within five (5) years of beginning this position.

• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa

Experience Requirements: 

• At least three (3) years of comprehensive progressive healthcare leadership/administrative experience

• Demonstrated skill in leadership/management and experience in clinical practice of nursing

• Experience with unit/clinic operations including human resources, financial management, and compliance with regulatory environment with various federal and state agencies and the Joint Commission

• Demonstrated ability to lead change

• Must be proficient in computer software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence

• Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to fostering/promoting a respectful and welcoming workplace environment

Desirable Qualifications

·         Previous clinic management experience

·         Previous experience in an academic medical center

·         Previous experience in the administration and management of clinical settings

·         Demonstrated results in improving patient satisfaction levels

·         Demonstrated results in improving clinical operations

·         Experience managing in a matrix reporting and unionized environment

·         Certification in a role or specialty through a nationally recognized professional nursing certification body
