Required Qualifications

  •        A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 
  •        One year of administrative experience
  •        Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  •        Proficiency in computer spreadsheets and database applications. 
  •        Ability to demonstrate exemplary customer service and/or patient interaction.

Desirable Qualifications

  •        Experience with hospital operations and/or ambulatory clinic operations.
  •        1 or more years of administrative experience in healthcare environment.
  •        Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction and taking initiative.
  •        Previous (6 months – 1 year) with process improvement, especially as it relates to operational workflow.
  •        Proven strong organizational skills and a detail-orientated focus.
  •        Experience scheduling in an outpatient clinic setting. 
  •        Experience providing supervision of staff.
  •        Experience working with Epic.
  •        Ability to be self-directed and demonstrate excellent judgement in prioritizing multiple projects and assignments.
  •        Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures, and regulations.
