Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required
  • Current license to practice nursing in Iowa
  • A minimum of five years recent OR nursing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates skills for leading change and implementation of evidence-based practice
  • Current certification through a nationally recognized professional nursing certification body. If not currently certified, must seek certification in a role or specialty as soon as eligible to sit for the exam
  • Collaborates and develops effective interpersonal relationships with nursing staff, medical staff, interdisciplinary teams, and other hospital departments

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Member/involvement in professional organizations
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing is desirable
  • Experience conducting staff education is desirable
