Clinical Education Librarian
Required Qualifications
- ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library and Information Science
- Interest in health sciences librarianship as well as interest in professional development that will enhance the candidate's value to the Libraries, the University, the profession, or the scholarly community
- Knowledge of biomedical databases, such as PubMed
- Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice concepts, including development of systematic reviews
- Experience with mobile devices, social networking, and other new forms of technology
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity in the workplace or community
- Strong customer service and public services abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Experience providing instruction and reference services
- Experience teaching Evidence-Based Practice concepts including EBM resources and Critical Appraisal
- Experience providing advanced information services, including searching biomedical literature and full-text databases for general literature searches and for systematic reviews
- Experience using health sciences specific mobile apps
- Knowledge of course management systems
- Knowledge of scholarly communication and open access initiatives
