Clinical Research Nurse - ICTS Clinical Research Unit
Position Qualifications:
Education Required
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire.
- A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 5 years is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to work occasional weekends, evenings or nights is required.
- General computer skills are required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Pediatric nursing or oncology nursing care experience is highly desirable.
- Professional certification in a related field of nursing or research is desired.
- Knowledge of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics policies, procedures and regulations is desirable.
- Knowledge of Clinical Research, GCP and IRB regulations is desirable.
- Strong clinical nursing skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, and assessment is desirable.
- Epic experience is desirable.
- ACLS and/or PALS certified
