Requires:

The academic knowledge of a discipline plus the ability to translate, adapt and apply the knowledge that is generally associated with a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Some experience creating and/or running meetings on a virtual meeting platform, such as Zoom.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a keen attention to detail.

Ability to travel to regional and national meetings and conferences. Ability to travel overnight, valid US driving license and the ability to meet the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standard.

Some experience editing website content, such as adding events to a website calendar and improving user experience.

Highly Desires:

Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with professionals from a variety of backgrounds, showing cultural humility.  

Some experience working with Native American and Alaska Native populations.

Previous experience training peers on tasks and duties performed.

Knowledge, experience, and ability to translate, adapt and apply the knowledge that is generally associated with Native American cultures.

Desires:

Previous experience working with other professionals and general public.

Knowledge of community-based participatory research methods.
