POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism/communications/marketing or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.


Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience in an editorial or publications capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of editing and publishing.
  • Demonstrated constructive and collaborative relationship building skills with a variety of individuals and groups, including peers, leadership, and external constituents.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Working knowledge of good design practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Services requirements.

Desired Qualifications

  • Photography experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in an editorial or publications capacity

Remote within Iowa: This position is eligible for primarily remote work but may require limited work onsite at times. 

This position is eligible for remote work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
