Compliance Specialist
Position Qualifications:
Education
Required
·
Bachelor’s
degree or combination of equivalent education and experience.
Experience
Requirements
·
A
minimum of five years coding experience (inpatient, outpatient, professional or
a combination)
·
A
minimum of six months project management or supervisory experience.
·
Demonstrated
management skills driving professional, respectful, inclusive interactions that
result in the embodiment of a “Service Excellence” philosophy.
·
Experience
working with multiple technology platforms such as an electronic medical
record, coding software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
·
Proven
success for driving results and instilling accountability throughout the team
and organization.
·
Data
collection, analytical skills and demonstrated ability to accurately prepare
reports and maintain associated electronic records.
·
Excellent
written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to
effectively transmit, receive and interpret ideas, information, and needs
through appropriate communication methods and behaviors.
·
Ability
to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups or activities and
make effective judgments relating to time allocation and priorities.
·
Coding
certification through a nationally recognized association such as the AAPC (for
example, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-I) or the AHIMA (American Health Information
Management Association) (for example, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCSP).
