Controller
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or equivalent course of study.
Experience Required
- Minimum 7 years of related progressive professional experience with degree to include:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Controller or Controller in a similar sized institution or a combination of public accounting and corporate FP&A roles.
- 2+ years of experience managing a small professional staff.
- Demonstrated ability to perform period accounting close and prepare financial statements and supporting managerial schedules.
- Demonstrated ability in budget development and reporting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Excel spreadsheets including the ability to extract financial data from various accounting and information systems to develop reports and perform analyses, sometimes with large datasets.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems and/or invoicing and inventory applications.
- Experience with Oracle budgeting and SmartView or similar budget applications.
- Experience with book and tax depreciation, tax accounting.
- Master of Accounting and/or public accounting experience and/or CPA certification a plus.
