Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Working experience (typically 6 months – 1 year) in college or university intramural sports programs, including officiating work.
  • Basic experience (typically 6 months – 1 year) in performance management including the hiring, training, and development of officials within a collegiate intramural sports program.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and working experience developing and delivering presentations to groups.
  • Working experience with standard office computer applications, including Microsoft office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First-Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire).
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Physical Education, Recreation Administration, Sports Management or related field.
  • Officiating experience (typically 1 or more years) outside of a collegiate intramural Sports program (extramural, high school, or college-level officiating).
  • Flag Football and Basketball officiating experience (typically 1 or more school years) in a college or university intramural sports program.
  • Basic knowledge of assessment methods and activities, with the ability to assess, research, and review students’ learning outcomes to ensure achievement of objectives and strategies.
  • Experience using WhentoWork scheduling software and IMLeagues intramural sports league management software.
  • Experience in administration of youth camps.
